Accurate measurement with laser detector

The distance measuring laser allows accurate measurement in real time. Through simple functions such as point location, line drawing and area calculation, it can complete tasks such as marking target locations for inspection purposes or calculating the extent of a forest fire. In addition, users can share information via the DJI Pilot QR code or FlightHub 2 with relevant personnel, enhancing collaboration and workflow efficiency.

Recording of observation range

The Matrice 4 series has been significantly upgraded with night mode. Full-Color Night Vision supports three modes and features two levels of enhanced noise reduction. With IR Cut filter and NIR auxiliary illumination, it easily overcomes the challenges of darkness, ensuring clear visibility in search and rescue operations.

Smart Low-Light Photo (Smart Low-Light Photo)

The Matrice 4 series cameras feature larger apertures and smart low-light capabilities, significantly improving performance during twilight or night time.

NIR Auxiliary Light (NIR Auxiliary Light)

The Matrice 4T features new NIR illumination material that provides illumination up to 100 metres away. This ensures clear visibility of objects in dark environments, making it ideal for applications such as wildlife protection.

Thermal Imaging (Thermal Imaging)

The Matrice 4T supports High-Res Mode, with image resolution up to 1280 × 1024. It also offers Ultra-High Resolution, revealing small temperature details for various applications. Each device goes through a temperature calibration process and has a built-in temperature sensor to provide actual temperature measurements

Low-Light Fisheye Omnidirectional Sensing sensors[5]

The Matrice 4 series features six high-resolution fisheye vision sensors for low light, significantly improving visual positioning and obstacle avoidance capabilities. This allows automatic obstacle avoidance, intelligent rerouting and safe return in low-light urban environments.

Improved middle telephoto camera

The Matrice 4 series features a medium telephoto camera, extending its capabilities for medium-range inspection work. When inspecting power lines or bridges, it can detect screws and cracks from a distance of 10 metres and clearly read instrument data in substations.[6]

High resolution telephoto lens

The Matrice 4 series telephoto camera has significantly improved resolution, with a 48 MP resolution, capable of capturing incredible detail from points up to 250 meters away.[7] In addition, the Matrice 4T is equipped with an IR-Cut filter, ensuring 24/7 operation.

Background stabilization for telephoto images

Upgraded telephoto stabilisation makes subjects in the foreground stable and clear when shooting at 10x zoom or higher. In scenarios such as public safety and inspections, the details of the issue are clearly visible.

Electronic excavation, image clearer than ever

In conditions such as fog or humid atmospheric conditions, Electronic Dehazing supports three modes (Low, Medium, High), improving the image clarity of the Matrice 4 Series to meet different operating environments and requirements.

Quick shots every 0.5 seconds

The Matrice 4E wide-angle camera supports fast 0.5-second bursts in both upright and oblique modes, facilitating rapid aerial photography from multiple angles. In addition, the mapping flight speed can reach 21 meters per second,[8] significantly increasing the efficiency of the work.

The Matrice 4 series supports new 5-way oblique image capture. The gimbal can rotate and capture images from multiple angles based on the search area, achieving the effect of multiple shots in one flight compared to previous models, [9] greatly enhancing the efficiency of oblique photography.

Upright 3-way reception[10]

The Matrice 4E supports three-way orthophotography, allowing lateral capture when performing orthophotography tasks, reducing lateral overlap. One flight can complete mapping for an area of 2.8 square kilometres.11 No additional flight path is required for altitude optimisation for better accuracy of altimetric data. Combined with the new capabilities of the DJI Terra, reconstruction performance is further enhanced while ensuring quality.

Intelligent 3D capture, Precision modelling

The DJI Matrice 4E supports Smart 3D Capture, allowing you to create a preliminary model on the remote controller. Based on the preliminary model, it can quickly create accurate mapping paths near the surface of a structure, completing detailed measurements and modeling of irregular buildings. It also supports the display of virtual routes and flight point photos for intelligent 3D capture, making it easier to assess flight safety and coverage area of specific routes.

Distortion correction, Accuracy enhancement

Distortion Correction 2.0 provides highly accurate distortion correction in the camera, with a residual distortion of less than 2 pixels.[12] Every Matrice 4E wide-angle camera is calibrated before it leaves the factory. When used with the DJI Terra, it significantly improves reconstruction accuracy.

Automatic creation of a survey business report

Upon completion of an operation, the DJI Pilot 2 can automatically generate a survey quality report. This report provides access to critical information such as photo points, RTK status and photo parameters. If there are anomalies, additional photographs can be taken on the spot, avoiding the need for repeat trips.

The Matrice 4 series features an integrated DJI RTK module that supports the extended L5 frequency band and includes the GNSS+Vision Fusion Positioning and Navigation System. Allows the return point to base to be updated via visual positioning, enabling rapid take-off within 15 seconds. Even without GNSS signals, it can complete the return process, effectively dealing with obstacles and signal interference often found in urban environments.

Intelligent guidance, Seamless flight

When the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller is connected to the internet, it can load altitude maps and preload detailed maps. This allows automatic route planning to avoid obstacles, managing scenarios such as flying at night or in mountainous areas, ensuring the safety of the flight. The drone features a 5-way visibility system, as well as down vision, which helps provide comprehensive visibility for enhanced protection.

Reaching New Heights in Video Broadcasting

The O4 Enterprise video transmission system sets a new industry standard for demanding environments. Thanks to the 8 antenna system in the Matrice 4 series and the high-performance antenna on the remote control, you can achieve a transmission range of up to 25km. In addition, the system improves image transmission with a download speed of 20MB/s, more than double that of the Mavic 3 Enterprise series, ensuring more accurate and stable images for missions and footage downloads.

The Matrice 4 series optionally supports the DJI Cellular Dongle 2.[14] By using 4G image transmission in conjunction with the aircraft’s antennas, signal stability is further enhanced.

Accessories Upgrades, Performance Jump[15]

Gimbal surveillance projector

The DJI AL1 SpotLight can illuminate objects up to 100 metres away,[16] and has two modes, Always-On and Strobe. It can be connected to the gimbal, allowing it to follow the movements of the camera to ensure that the illuminated area is aligned with the camera. In addition, headlights can focus on one object or offer a wide field of view (FOV), illuminating larger areas.

Live broadcast speaker

The DJI AS1 Speaker offers impressive sound power and extended range. It has a transmission range of up to 300 metres and can produce up to 114 decibels of volume at a distance of 1 metre.17 It supports recorded messages, multimedia input and text-to-speech conversion.18 In addition, it features live transmission and reverberation suppression,[19]enhancing efficiency and flexibility in search and rescue operations.

D-RTK 3 high precision multi-purpose station

The D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station can operate as a base station to provide accurate centimeter-level positioning for multiple drones simultaneously or extend the operational range of drones in transponder station mode.* In addition, the new Rover Station feature, combined with the DJI Enterprise app and DJI Terra, provides a complete solution for high precision aerial photography applications, ensuring safe and accurate operation.

DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise

The DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise remote control features a new high-brightness display that remains clearly visible even under direct sunlight. It has a protection rating of IP54 and can operate in temperatures from -20°C to 50°C. Using the O4 Enterprise video transmission system, it features an integrated high performance antenna array, providing powerful performance. It also supports O4 Enterprise and 4G hybrid transmission solutions, ensuring stable and smooth video transmission in urban areas with tall buildings and mountainous areas.

DJI Cellular Dongle 2[14]

DJI Power 1000

The DJI Power 1000 can provide up to 200W of fast charging for the Matrice 4 series of smart batteries,[20] fully charging a battery in 48 minutes.[21] It also offers 2200W AC output, ensuring reliable and stable power for outdoor operations. In addition, it can be paired with the DJI Power 1kW car charger, enabling 1kW fast charging, supporting continuous power operations and uninterrupted runs.

DJI Pilot 2

The DJI Pilot 2 interface has been completely upgraded, with a personalised toolbar of smart functions and support for various types of flight paths. It also includes virtual space models and route preview functions,[22] making operations more convenient and efficient. It can be connected to FlightHub 2 to enhance drone control functions and facilitate information sharing in the cloud, reducing the workload of frontline pilots.

DJI FlightHub 2

Designed specifically for the Matrice 4 series aircraft, the DJI FlightHub 2 has been upgraded for remote control, offering a variety of flight path planning features such as remote takeoff and landing, Smart 3D Capture paths, geometric paths and inclined paths. Operators can simultaneously control the cargo and the aircraft via Live Flight Controls. During multi-drone operations, operators can synchronize multiple live streams on one screen, creating a new, efficient air-to-ground operating experience.

DJI Terra

DJI Terra enables high-precision camera distortion correction for the Matrice 4E.
