With dimensions less than 10 cm. in height, about 5 cm. in width and weighing just 100 grams, the inReach Mini fits in your pocket or backpack pockets. It connects for messaging via the Iridium satellite network offering uninterrupted 100% global Iridium satellite coverage. You don’t have to worry about being on the network or experiencing partial network coverage.

Who will respond to the SOS? The GEOS Centre will respond.

The GEOS Rescue Coordination Centre is a world leader in emergency response and monitoring solutions. It supports rescues in more than 140 countries, helping people in the process. At any time around the clock they will respond to your SOS, locate your device and notify the appropriate emergency contacts in your area. After sending a distress signal, wait for a delivery confirmation that help is on the way and then be kept informed of the situation by the rescue management centre.

Many ways to stay connected

Wireless connectivity between devices allows you to remotely operate the inReach Mini to send and receive messages using compatible Garmin mobile devices. GPS tracking allows you to share your location wherever you are. You can even post your adventures on social media. For basic navigation, there is a compass showing the bearing and distance along a route or point of interest.

Connect to your mobile device

For even more features and convenience, the free Earthmate app syncs your inReach device via Bluetooth® wireless technology with your compatible Apple® or Android™ device, so you can access unlimited maps and aerial photos. In addition, Earthmate allows you to easily use all inReach features on your connected device. For easier messaging, you can also access your phone’s contact list from the Earthmate app to connect everywhere – with less typing.

Weather information wherever you are

The optional weather forecast service provides detailed updates directly to your inReach Mini or other compatible device connected to the Earthmate app, so you know the expected conditions on your route. Basic and premium weather packages are offered. You can also request weather forecasts for your current location or another point of interest on your route.

Durable, powerful inReach

With a rugged design and an IPX7 waterproofing class, the inReach Mini is a rugged, drop-resistant device (MIL-STD-810F). It includes an internal, rechargeable lithium battery that offers up to 50 hours of autonomy in 10-minute recording mode and up to 20 days in power-saving mode. Recharge via microUSB power cable or optional 12-V charger.

Flexible Satellite Programmes

To access the Iridium network and communicate with your inReach Mini, a satellite subscription is required. Depending on usage, you can choose an annual contract package or a flexible monthly plan.

Includes unlimited Cloud storage and Trip Planning

Every inReach device offers free access to the cloud-enabled Garmin Explore website to plan your trips with routes and points of interest, create predefined messages and quick texts, sync and manage your device settings, update firmware, connect your social media accounts, store all your location log data, and more.

Connect to Garmin Pilot™

In the aviation sector, the inReach Mini becomes a valuable link in communication. When connected via Bluetooth to a compatible tablet or smartphone running the Garmin Pilot app, the inReach Mini easily sends and receives text messages in the cockpit even from areas with no mobile signal. The app gets your contact list from your device, so you can access it easily, all the time. As the inReach Mini is also a handheld GPS, Garmin Pilot uses it as a fixed position source to display the aircraft’s position on your tablet’s dynamic map. Also, for your companions on land, inReach Mini provides a flight tracking service, using MapShare™ in your inReach account. You can also connect via Facebook® or Twitter®.
